Loyal donors of Swedish Covenant Hospital were honored at a President’s Society reception, held June 9 in the hospital’s Healing Garden.During the evening’s program, President and CEO, Mark Newton thanked guests for their support of Swedish Covenant Hospital.“Through your generosity, the Foundation has been able to fund key initiatives that further advance our mission, including a new Mayora Rosenberg Women’s Health Center that is breaking down barriers to health care for women, a new program to address victims of human trafficking, domestic violence and sexual assault, and an integrated cancer survivorship program to support cancer patients through their diagnosis and treatment,” Mark said. “All this is made possible with your support.”The event recognized members of the President’s Society, those who give $1,000 or more annually, and members of the Heritage Society, whose legacy gifts will provide for the hospital’s future.“Members of these societies are remarkable individuals – physicians, grateful patients, neighbors, and business and community leaders – who believe in the future of Swedish Covenant Hospital and want to make a difference in the health of our community,” said Jennifer Tscherney, executive director of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation.  “They provide the inspiration, leadership and financial support that maintains our position as a thriving, independent safety-net hospital.”To learn more about becoming a member of the President’s Society or Heritage Society, contact the Foundation at Foundation@swedishcovenant.org or (773) 293-5121.
