As Executive Director of Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation, Jennifer is responsible for the development, implementation, and administration of funds raised in support of Swedish Covenant Hospital. Jennifer has over 16 years of experience in development in the areas of health care and higher education, including Northwestern Memorial Foundation, DePaul University, University of Illinois at Chicago, Sherman Health Foundation and University of Chicago Medicine. Jennifer received a Bachelors degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a Masters degree in Public Service from DePaul University.
Director of Development
Kristienne returned to the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation team as Director of Development in 2013. She has more than 10 years of experience working in all aspects of fund development for nonprofits, with eight years focused exclusively on health care philanthropy.
Most recently, Kristienne worked for the Advocate Charitable Foundation as director of development for system services. She held multiple roles with the foundation during her tenure, and has gained tremendous experience working across the system to develop health care philanthropy programs at 11 distinct hospitals. Her career in hospital fundraising began at Swedish Covenant back in 2005, where she was responsible for corporate and foundation relations. Kristienne is excited to be back to help make a difference in the health of our community.
Kristienne holds a B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from Drake University. She lives in the Norwood Park neighborhood with her husband, Christopher and children.
Director of Development, Foundation & Corporate Relations
Morgan joined Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation in 2015 as Director of Development, Foundation and Corporate Relations. She brings over 10 years of experience in grant writing and management. Prior to joining the Swedish Covenant team, Morgan worked on large-scale, competitive government grants at Chicago Public Schools. She also worked for several years at Advocate Charitable Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Advocate Health Care, on foundation, corporate, and government grant proposals. She brings a wealth of experience related to grant research and development, as well as program development and funder stewardship. Her personal commitment to public health, sustainable communities and addressing the needs of underserved populations drives her work. Morgan received a B.A. in Creative Writing from Beloit College and a Master’s Degree in Public Service Management from DePaul University. She lives in the Portage Park neighborhood with her family and enjoys exercise, cooking/baking, and traveling.
Sarah Rutherford English
Assistant Director of Development
Sarah joined Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation in December 2013 as Assistant Director of Development. In this role she oversees the annual fund and donor communications.
Sarah has more than nine years of nonprofit development experience in individual giving, grant management and special events. Prior to joining Swedish Covenant Hospital, Sarah gained experience in development for a variety of organizations – from a small arts organization to an urban health care system. In addition, she served government and nonprofit clients as an independent grant consultant. Sarah earned her M.P.A. with a specialization in nonprofit management from University of Illinois at Chicago and B.A. in Journalism from Indiana University.
Recognizing the importance of health care accessibility, Sarah is excited to support the delivery of community-based and compassionate health care.
Tamara joined the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation team in January 2016 as Development Coordinator. She brings more than 8 years of experience in event management, outreach and operations. Prior to Swedish Covenant, she worked for several political campaigns and Chicago non-profits, including Chicago Votes and Kartemquin Films.
Tamara is fiercely passionate about social justice, and is compelled by the Hospital’s community focus. She is a graduate of Beloit College in Beloit, WI and holds a B.A. in Sociology with a minor in Political Science.
Olivia joined Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation as Project Coordinator in 2014 after working for Swedish Covenant Medical Group for four years. She is also the project coordinator for the Swedish Covenant Hospital marketing department, maintaining the daily operations for both departments and working closely with managers from each on special projects and events, designing collateral, processing gifts and maintaining and updating donor information.
She is a graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago with a B.A. in English and is a professional Spanish/Flamenco dancer with Ensemble Español Spanish Dance Theater in-residence at Northeastern Illinois University.
