The Violence Prevention Program at Swedish Covenant Hospital was developed in 2015 to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to identify and respond to patients who are victims of violence. This critical program trains healthcare providers to identify victims through patient screenings, assess their immediate needs and connect them with community-based partner agencies.
Join us for a networking breakfast featuring the Violence Prevention Program at Swedish Covenant Hospital, sponsored by Allstate. The event will be followed by the Health Care Summit on Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking & Sexual Assault. Click here to RSVP.
The Health Care Summit on Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking & Sexual Assault aims to inspire community collaboration and provide an opportunity for networking as we address the health care sector’s critical role in identification and response to survivors of violence. Specific topics to be addressed include the importance of the health care setting and response, guiding principles and practical steps, and navigating the reporting and documentation challenges within these issues.
