Carl is the Director of Development for Swedish Covenant Hospital and an officer of the Swedish Covenant Hospital Foundation. He has over twenty years experience in fundraising and advancement.
Prior to joining Swedish Covenant Hospital, he was the Director of Advancement Services for the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Medicine. He previously held the same position at Illinois State University. He began his fundraising career at the University of Illinois Foundation where he was the Director of Research.
Carl earned his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh, and holds an M.M. and ABD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a focus in Musicology.
Having been in large, public institutions for his entire career, he views the opportunity to work in a more intimate, people-friendly environment as a welcome change.
Megan Burke

Megan plans and executes events that recognize and support the Foundation’s mission and its donors. She works closely with hospital volunteers on events such as the Annual Gala and Donor Night.
She joins us from the Chicago events industry; most recently, River East Art Center and Blue Plate where she booked and catered both small and large-scale corporate and not-for-profit events.
A friendly environment, diversity and employee dedication are some of the reasons Megan chose to work at Swedish Covenant Hospital.

Cam is in charge of gift processing, managing the database and donor relations. In addition, he serves as the Hospital’s liaison to the Nursing Alumnae Association.
Cam received his B.A. from North Park University, and holds a certificate in Philanthropy and Nonprofit Fundraising from Northwestern University. Since joining Swedish Covenant Hospital in 2008, he has embraced the privilege of connecting employees and individuals to the Hospital in ways that are meaningful to them.
Some of the key factors that attracted Cam to Swedish Covenant Hospital include the wonderful people on staff, the first-class care provided by its doctors and a strong identification with its mission.
Daria Zvetina

As the Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations, Daria is responsible for the cultivation of foundation and corporate relationships and the procurement of philanthropic grant funding to support the hospital’s mission and work.
Prior to joining Swedish Covenant Hospital in 2010, Daria spent 18 years as a human service program, research, and proposal development consultant, working with public and private not-for-profit organizations at local, state, and national levels to address the needs of underserved and high risk populations. Daria earned her B.S. in Political Science from Loyola University of Chicago and her M.Ed. in Educational Psychology from Arizona State University.
She was drawn to Swedish Covenant by the vibrant diversity of its service area communities, the vital role the hospital fills in Chicago’s medical safety net, its welcoming staff, and steadfast commitment to delivering outstanding and compassionate patient-centered care to all it serves.
Jamie Bacon

Jamie is in charge of gift processing, managing the Foundation database and donor relations. In addition, she assists with annual events such as Donor Night and the Annual Benefit Gala. She also acts as the liaison to the SCH Associates’ Board.
Jamie recently graduated from North Park University with a B.S. in Business and Economics, Management with a certificate in Nonprofit Management and Leadership.
